Pressing on in the Holy Spirit
In his final talk to our church Andrew speaks about the importance of the Holy Spirit in us and leading us.
The Honour of God’s Name
Jesus’ passion was for the honour of his Father’s Name. Andrew spoke about how this should shape us and our lives.
Creation stewardship
In the second of our two harvest services on 4th October we were joined by Laura-Lee Lovering, our BMS contact based in the Peruvian Amazon. Laura spoke to us about creation stewardship in the context of her work with local farmers and drew out some practical lessons for us.
Creation Care
On 27th September we welcomed Philip Nalpanis from the Christian Environmental organisation A’Rocha. Philip spoke first about the Biblical mandate for creation care, and then about what we can do practically. The recording starts with a reading from Colossians 1 v15 onwards.
Mission shaped church
On 20th September Louise spoke from 1 Corinthians 16: “Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all you do be done in love”. She used this to illustrate the marks of a mission-shaped church.
Devotion to God
As Andrew prepares to move on at the end of October, he starts a final series about how we should not look back but instead press on. Today he talks about the most important aspect: devotion to God.
