On the Road to Emmaus
On 8th April Tim spoke from Luke 24, the well known account of the encounter with Jesus on the Emmaus Road, and drew parallels with our own encounters with Jesus on our journey through life.
Easter Sunday
On Easter Sunday, which was also April Fools day, Andrew spoke about the foolishness of the Cross from 1 Corinthians chapter 1: “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday Andrew reminded us of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem as God’s chosen lamb, on the same day that the local people would be choosing a lamb to sacrifice on the Feast of the Passover, four days later. The Word of God is our foundation
On 18th March we were joined again by our good friend Chris Justice from Hope Church in Beaconsfield who drew together some of the threads of our discussions over the last few weeks. In particular he reminded us that the truth of the Word of God needs to be the foundation for everything we do.
