175th Anniversary – Daniel Joy
On the first Sunday in June we started to celebrate our 175th Anniversary – 1843 to 2018. We were delighted to welcome back Daniel and Heather Joy. Daniel was the minister here from 2012 to 2015. In this recording Andrew speaks first to introduce our Anniversary month, and then Daniel speaks from James 3 v13-18 on the subject of humility.
The gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit
To finish this series on the Holy Spirit, Andrew led a Bible study on the remarkable transformation in the disciples in the days after Pentecost through an outpouring of the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit – breath of God
Reading from Acts chapter 1, Andrew spoke about the time between Resurrection Sunday and Pentecost, which is the time for preparing for the coming of the Holy Spirit. He went onto talk about the imagery of the Holy Spirit as the breath of God.

On the Road to Emmaus
On 8th April Tim spoke from Luke 24, the well known account of the encounter with Jesus on the Emmaus Road, and drew parallels with our own encounters with Jesus on our journey through life.
Easter Sunday
On Easter Sunday, which was also April Fools day, Andrew spoke about the foolishness of the Cross from 1 Corinthians chapter 1: “For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
Palm Sunday
On Palm Sunday Andrew reminded us of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem as God’s chosen lamb, on the same day that the local people would be choosing a lamb to sacrifice on the Feast of the Passover, four days later.
